Mote & Associates Intern, Jacob Subler, Wins 20 Under 20 Award

Jacob Subler, our high school intern, received a 20 Under 20 Award at the annual Awards Banquet held on April 25, 2018 at Romer’s Catering in St. Henry.  The 20 Under 20 Awards are given for the purpose of giving recognition to Darke, Mercer, and Auglaize County students, schools, and businesses who work collaboratively in the training and/or career development for individuals under the age of 20.  Since Mote & Associates  encouraged and directed this opportunity for Jake, our firm was  also honored at the banquet, as well.

Jake Subler joined our staff as a part-time intern in the Fall of 2016 working after school and as time permitted between athletic extra curricular activities.  Jake had been recommended to us as an intern by his teacher in the Greenville High School Career Technology Center Engineering Tech. Prep. class, Mr. Chris Sykes.

Jake is one of ±60 junior and senior students in the Engineering program at the Greenville CTC.  He was elected president of his junior class in the program and was then again elected president of the senior class in the program.

One of the most admirable projects that he spearheaded was the development of an ‘Engineering Class’ tee shirt.  Jake has a kind heart and could not bear the thought that all students in the program could not afford the cost of a tee shirt.  Therefore, he solicited sponsorships from local businesses (including Mote & Associates) in exchange for their names being printed on the back of the shirt.

Jake plans to attend Cincinnati State College this Fall to study Civil Engineering and Surveying.  We wish him the best of luck!
